First Baptist Church of Byram
2025 Revival Services [Part 1]
Gary Bowlin delivered a sermon centered on Revelation 20:11-15, emphasizing the importance of salvation and the inevitability of the Great White Throne Judgment. He urged the congregation to reflect on their eternal destiny, highlighting that many church members may not be truly saved. Bowlin described the judge as Jesus Christ, who is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, and will judge fairly without mercy. He identified the defendants as out-and-out sinners, self-righteous individuals, church members who haven't been saved, and procrastinators. Bowlin concluded with a call to action, encouraging those unsure of their salvation to pray and accept Jesus Christ.
Let me ask if you would to take your copy of God's word and turn to the book of the Revelation, chapter number 20. Revelation, chapter 20. And when you find that, I want you to stand, if you're able to stand, if not, you can remain seated. But we want to honor the reading of God's inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God, Revelation, chapter 20. And we want to begin reading in verse number 11, and we'll read down through verse 15, Revelation. CHAPTER 20, verses 11 through 15, maybe the most awesome passage of scripture in all the Bible. The old time preachers, when they used to preach on this particular passage, had an unusual title to their sermons. They entitled their sermons when the lights go out on the road to hell. It is an awesome passage of scripture that describes a future event that far too many people are going to be at, that far too many church members are going to be at I'm afraid. I want you to think seriously with me today about where you going to spend eternity. We've been faced with death all week long, with airplane crashes and all the rest, and they happened so quick that nobody on board had an opportunity to cry out to God for salvation. And the question today is simply, this, is your name written in the Lamb's book of life? Are you saved? Are you born again? That is the question. I want you to notice this passage, beginning in verse 11, he says, and I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead, which when it in death and hell to lived up the dead, which when it in them, and they were judged every man according to their works, and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever notice and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Father, bless your word. I pray Holy Spirit, come and be our most wanted guest. I pray that you would move up and down the aisles and in throughout the pews and touch every heart and bring every person face to face with eternity and help them to think seriously today about where they're going to spend eternity. Because, Lord, we know that there are only two places that every person will spend eternity, either in heaven or in hell, and God, I pray with all my heart, with every ounce of my being that you not let any man, woman, young person leave this building without knowing that they know they have Jesus in their heart, Father, I plead the blood of Jesus over this sanctuary. I declare it off limits to the evil one, and I pray Lord, you'd have your will and way in every heart. Thank you, Lord for what you're going to do, even before you do it, because we ask it in Jesus' name and for his sake. Amen, you may be seated. Somebody asked a very brilliant Daniel Webster, one day, they said, Mr. Webster, what is the greatest thought that's ever entered into your mind? This brilliant man thought for a few moments, and then he replied, The Greatest thought that ever crossed my mind is that one day I will have to stand before God. What an awesome thought that is. What a true thought that is for you see, one of these days you're going to come to church, the last time some preacher is going to preach, the last sermon that he will ever preach, the Holy Spirit is going to speak to your heart the last time and give you one last opportunity to. It to come to Christ for salvation. For you see, the day is coming when God is going to write the last sentence in the books of history. He's going to put a period after that sentence. And all that we know is this world and this civilization will be over. No longer will the automobiles go down the highways and the airplanes fly the sky. No longer will the wheels of commerce grind away all that we know as this world will be over and there will be a time of final judgment. The judgment that we've read about a few moments ago is called the Great White Throne Judgment, or the final judgment, it is that judgment for that individual who has never truly been saved. And before you jump to conclusion, that's not for you because you're a church member, I want to encourage you to listen as I try to share what God has laid on my heart because the greatest burden that I've ever had in the 51 and a half years that God's allowed me to preach the gospel as I pastored three churches full time, and I've done interim and several others and preached over 1200 revival meetings. The greatest burden that I've ever had as a gospel preacher, as I've encountered people is that many of them, even though their names were on their church role, they did not know Jesus Christ experientially, their life had never, ever really been changed, and so please listen, I beg of you, for Christ's sake and your eternity sake, to listen as I talk to you about a message I entitle the court of no appeal or the final judgment. I want you to imagine a courtroom scene, a court of law, if you please. And I want to talk to you about the court of no appeal from three simple aspects this morning. First of all, I want us to notice who the judge is going to be in eternity court. Who is the judge going to be? Well, the Bible says it like this, I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it. Now, who is the hymn that verse 11 of our text is referring to? Well, if you were to do a survey among Southern Baptists, I believe that half of them would get the answer wrong to that question. But before I tell you who the judge is going to be in eternity court, I need to tell you who the judge is not going to be. The judge in that day is not going to be yourself or your opinion of yourself. Now, I run across a lot of people and have for many years who think real highly of themselves. Matter of fact, they'll tell you how good and wonderful they are. They almost give their arms out of socket, patting themselves on the back, telling you how good they are. Well, friend, I want you to know the judge in that day is not going to be your opinion of yourself, neither is the judge going to be one of your loved ones or one of your friends. I look out here today and I can tell we got a lot of grandpas and grandmas in the sanctuary, and if I had a couple three hours, you could probably tell me about your grandchildren, amen, and if you would take enough time, I'll tell you about my two grandsons. And I know grandparents, and I know parents that would I believe, give their life's blood if it could mean the salvation of their children or their grandchildren. But folks, I cannot be saved for my children. I cannot be saved for my grandchildren. Each individual must make that decision. So the judge in eternity court's not going to be one of your loved ones or one of your friends, the preacher? Who's the judge going to be? As I mentioned earlier, I believe, just as a guest, I'd say half of Southern Baptists don't know the real answer to that question, because we know there's God the Father, there's God the Son, there's the Holy Spirit. And they would say, well, there's Jehovah God, there's God in heaven, and we know there's Jesus who died on a cross and was buried and raised again the third day, he's the savior. So that means that God, the Father, must be the judge in that day. And you know what? They'd be exactly wrong for. You see, the judge in eternity, court is none other than the one who wants to be your savior today, the Lord Jesus, Christ, you say, preacher. How do you know that Bible is real clear? In John 522, the Bible says the Father judges no man, but hath committed all judgment under the son acts 1731, says God hath appointed a day in which he would judge the world. By that man, Christ, Jesus. You see, the judge is going to be the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, what do we need to know about this judge in eternities? Court? Number one, we need to know he's omniscient. That means he's all knowing. That means he has all the facts. That means you can't fool this judge. He knows everything you've ever done. He knows everything you've ever thought about doing. He knows everything you cannot fool that judge in eternity court. I heard about a newspaper somewhere. You know you can't hardly get a real newspaper anymore. Everything's on iPads and computers and cell phones and all that now. But back when newspapers were real prominent, I heard about a newspaper somewhere had an unusual slogan for their advertisement. It said, If you don't want it printed, then don't let it happen. Well, I want to say to you, not only don't let it happen, don't even let it enter into your mind, because there's going to be perfect knowledge, because he's omniscient. In that day, not only is he omniscient, He's omnipotent. The Bible says, I saw the small and the great stand before God. Does that mean the skin and the fat no that means the big shots and the little shots and the no shots are going to be there. That means everybody is going to be there that does not know Jesus. Education won't matter. Money won't matter, fame and fortune won't matter. When this judge issues the summons, you're going to come. I've done a lot of revival meetings. Many hundreds of them. I've watched big burly men during invitation grip hold of the back of a pew, and they literally shake and tremble under conviction. Their knuckles turn white, but they don't give their heart to Christ, and they'll walk out of back door like those back there, as if they got away from the Lord. I have news for you in this day, when this judge in eternity is court issues the summons, you're going to come and you're going to stand before him, there will be no escape, because He's omnipotent. He's omniscient. He's all powerful, and he'll bring you to judgment. Not only is he omnipotent, not only is he omniscient, he's omnipresent. Folks, you cannot get away from God. People try to get away from God today. They try to drink their way away from God, or take a pill away from to get away from God, or try to run away from God some way, somehow. But in that day, they can't get away from the Lord because he's omnipresent. He's everywhere. He's everywhere. I like the way the psalmist says it. In Psalm 139, he says, If I ascend into heaven, Behold, thou art there, if I make my bed in hell, Behold, thou art there. He's omniscient. He's omnipotent. He's omnipresent. Let me give you one more fact about this judge in eternities court, listen carefully. It's really, really important. He is going to judge fairly. He's going to judge fairly. He's going to do the right thing, matter of fact, two times. I don't know if you noticed it. When we read our passage of Scripture, it tells us, in two different verses, how he's going to judge in that day, it says in every man, every person, was judged with grace, with mercy, with forgiveness, with salvation? No, they're not mentioned. Every man was judged according to their works, according to their works, there'll be no grace, there'll be no mercy, there be no forgiveness, there'll be no more invitations at the end of a sermon, it'll be too late for salvation. It'll be too late to change your mind, because he's going to judge fairly earlier in my ministry, I and I had this a number of times across the years. I'd have people come up to me after a service, maybe I preached on hell or something, and I'd have people ask me a question. I hated for them to ask me, because I felt like I did not have a good answer. But they'd come up to me and they'd say, preacher, how does a loving God send people to hell? I I felt like I didn't have a good answer that day, but I've got a good answer now. How does a loving God send people to hell? Why does a loving God send people to hell? You know how. Answer that now by asking them a question, you tell me what more a loving God could have done than what he did? He looked all over heaven. He found the most precious jewel in Heaven's crown. He sent him down to this earth to teach, to preach, to minister, but most of all to take my sins and your sins and the sins of the whole world, climb up on an old rugged cross and die in blood and agony and be buried and raised again the third day, so you and I don't have to go to hell. Now you tell me what more a loving God could have done than what he did. Folks, do you know why people go to hell? Please hear me. You know why people go to hell for one reason only, because they deserve to go to hell. Are y'all listening to me? This means yes. Are y'all listening? I want you to hear me. Y'all not nodding at me. This means yes, you're listening to me. You know why people go to hell, not because God doesn't love them, not because God wouldn't forgive them, not because God wouldn't save them, but people go to hell because they, with their volition of will, say no to the Lord Jesus, Christ, and I want to submit to you that anybody who's lost that will not receive Christ, that refuses his salvation, they deserve to go to hell. Otherwise, listen, otherwise our God would be an unjust God, an unrighteous God, which is impossible because he's the thrice Holy God of Israel. It's impossible for our God to do anything wrong. People go to hell because they deserve to go to hell because they reject God's only means of salvation, faith and trust in the Lord Jesus. Everybody got that. You want grace. You want mercy. You want forgiveness. You want salvation. Thank God. Praise God. You may have it. I tell you what a lot of things I love about being a Baptist preacher, but one of the things I love about being a Baptist preacher is at the end of every sermon. And sometimes I don't necessarily, in the flesh, enjoy the sermons that I have to preach, but I can always end with good news. God loves you. God loves you. Jesus died for you. He wants to save you. And I can always tell people that at the end of every sermon, and they can have an opportunity to come to Jesus. Now I love that I can't make them come. They gotta decide on their own to do that. And so you want grace and mercy, you may have it. I heard about a lady probably from Pike County. I'm sure she wasn't from Hinds County. This is Heinz County, right? I used to pastor in Hinds County, so I know that, but she's probably from Pike County. This happened a number of years ago. She went down to photography studio studio to have her picture made, and it was back in the day, where few days later, you'd get the picture in the mail and all that. And she put all the gook in the right places, and she fixed her hair so nice, and she put on fancy outfit, and she paraded down to the photography studio, and the man made her picture said, I'll get it to you as soon as I can. So she was just so excited. She just couldn't wait to get her picture. She thought she was so beautiful. A few days later, came in the mail. She tore into the big envelope and opened up that picture and looked at it, and obviously it looked just like her, but she didn't like it. So she goes back down to photography studio and tells the man there, sir, you need to make my picture again. He said, why? She said, because it doesn't do me justice. He looked at her. He looked at it. He said, Lady, you don't need justice. What you need is mercy. Amen, folks, I am thankful that God doesn't give me what I deserve. Every one of us in this building deserve to go to hell. All of us deserve to go to hell, but thank God, praise God. There's a Savior who died on an old rugged cross, shed his rich, Royal, sinless, red blood, was buried and raised again the third day that you and I don't have to go to hell, and we ought to praise God for that. Amen. You don't have to go to hell, but he's going to. Judge fairly. He's going to do the right thing, all right. There's a second thing I want you to notice, not only who the judge is going to be, but who are going to be the defendants in the court of no appeal. The Bible says I saw the small and the great stand before God, who are the small and the great? I think we can put them in three or four broad categories. Number one is what I refer to as out and out sinner, the reprobate, the agnostic, the person who hates God, hates churches, hates the Bible, hates preachers, hates anything to do with God. And have you noticed we got a bunch of em in America now? Well, let's just leave those aside, because the Bible says Fret not thyself. Because of evildoers, God's going to take care of them. Let's leave them aside, because if you were in that category, you wouldn't be sitting where you're sitting right now. Matter of fact, you wouldn't even want to drive by the church building, much less come inside and worship the Lord. So let's leave them aside, because God's going to take care of them. But there's a second group that's there, that's in every church that I've ever been in, and that's called the self righteous. Jesus encountered them. They were called scribes and Pharisees. He also called them hypocrites. He said, you clean up the outside of the platter, but on the inside, you're full of dead men's bones and filth and rottenness and sin and all the rest church members, self righteous people who've never been saved. And then there's a group called church members who've never been saved. It was so good to meet a number of you that I know from years ago this morning already. And if you've ever heard my testimony, you know that I was a CPA before I surrender preach, running from God's call to preach and and I still pay attention to studies and statistics and all the rest, and depending on the study that you are looking at, that study will say from 60 to 90% of church members, it is estimated or lost. I can tell you for a fact, as a former pastor and as an evangelist that's been in about 1200 churches, I can tell you that it's somewhere in that range I believe, with all my heart, as a matter of fact, the first message God ever burned into My heart, I think I mentioned earlier, is a fact that there's a whole lot of church folks going to bust hell wide open. English teacher, I know it's burst, but in a mid County, it's bust, where I was raised, amen, and so church members will be there. I my wife couldn't travel for me with me for over 20 years, while we were raising kids, and since then, she travels with me. And if a church wants me to come, they gotta take her too, and she's with me today sitting by some friends out there, but I met her when she was sweet 16, and we started going together, and we've been going together ever since May 22 we'll celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. Can God's people say Amen? Now we got married as children, almost 19 and 18, she don't like she likes to kind of blend in, and she don't she, she's going to fuss at me if he mention her this morning. But I want to illustrate something when she we were engaged to be married, wanting to follow her husband. And by the way, let me back up to say that her daddy was a Presbyterian. The son of a Presbyterian preacher, her mama was Episcopalian, and when she was a little girl, she joined the Presbyterian Church and did what the Presbyterians said, do to go to heaven when you die. I suppose she did. She joined the church. Later on, she had a beautiful confirmation ceremony in the Episcopal Church. Did what the Episcopalians said, do when we were engaged to be married. She joined the Southern Baptist church. My preacher took her down to the cola mint River, think ice water, and baptized her biblically by immersion. And she is a good Southern Baptist. She's a sweet and kind woman. Always has been, in my opinion. But you know what? If she'd have died before June 1973 she'd have went straight to hell, surrounded by baptismal certificates, offering envelopes, Sunday school, quarterlies and all the rest. She had been through wind schools. She had been through evangelism explosions. She knew more about winning people to Jesus than most preachers I worked with. But during the week that I was making my final decision about going to seminary, we lived in Clinton, Mississippi, and she said, Honey, would you tell me how to be saved? She knew how to be saved, but we'd be riding along in a car back in those days, and she'd express doubts about her salvation. And I took her down the Roman road plan of salvation that she knew by heart. She went in the back bedroom of our home, got on her knees, asked God to forgive her of her sins, and asked Jesus to come into her heart, and was saved, wonderfully, saved. We went immediately to New Orleans seminary. I spent three years there. I got a master divinity degree from New Orleans seminary, and I was pastoring my third and my last church, september 1979 like six and a half years later, not all that far from where I'm Speaking from today, up the road there a piece had a revival meeting. I invited an evangelist friend of mine to come preach that revival meeting. She said, Honey, I know I've been saved since June 1973 you understand she's the pastor's wife. Y'all understand that, don't you? I know I've been saved since June 1973 but since I really got saved, I have not had believers baptism. This is almost six and a half years later, last revival I had before I went in evangelism. I said, Baby, you need to do what the Lord leads you to do. And I knew she would anyway. And so I looked up, I think it was Sunday night of that start of that revival, I looked up and down the aisle comes my wife. I knew why she was coming. It was just like the devil sitting on my shoulder saying, Alright, big boy, what you going to tell that church crowd? Isn't that going to embarrass you? That's your wife coming. Let me tell you something. Folks, as a whole bunch of folks, going to bust hell wide open because they're more concerned about what people think than what God knows. That was a woman that I love more than anybody in the world, any human being in the world, and her doing what was right and what was biblical and what God wanted her to do was most important thing in all the world. You know what happened? Before the week was out, I baptized 1818, of my church members who were either lost or who got saved that week, or who came for believers baptism like my wife did now, folks, biblical baptism is after you're saved, as a bunch of folks in church got dumped, and then maybe later they got saved, but they haven't had believers baptism, yet some of you are like that, and you need to come for believers baptism. You're saved. Now if you died, you'd go to heaven, but you're not being obedient. Every time you get on your knees, you're going to get condemned by the devil because you hadn't done it God's way. And folks, I'll tell you something. If we're going to have revival, we gotta be obedient. And so church members who've never been saved, I could say much more about that. And then there's a group called procrastinators. They'll be there. Procrastinators, ladies, I'm not talking about your husband, who five years ago, you asked him to do something, he said, I'll get to it, and he hadn't done it yet. I'm talking about a spiritual procrastinator. That's a person who admits their loss, they need to be saved, they intend to be saved, but just not today. Do you know how many procrastinators I've seen in all 51 and a half years that I've been preaching who were saved, preaching to several million people over the years total, I've known of one procrastinator Who said I'm lost. I need to be saved. I intend to be saved, just not today, who later was saved. I know. Young man at the last church I pastored who got saved. The rest of them are either in hell or their hearts are so hardened they can't respond to the gospel. Procrastinators will be there. We've looked at the judge in eternity court. We've looked at the defendants in eternity court. Lastly, let's look at the nature of the trial in a court of law, there are four elements. Number one, the evidence is presented. Number two, the defendant has an opportunity to mount his or her defense. Number three, the verdict of the court is handed down, and number four, the verdict of the court is carried out. Now, let's suppose it's a time that we read about in Revelation chapter 20, the time of the Great White Throne Judgment, and one by one, by one, by one by one, people are coming to stand before Jesus. And let's suppose it's your time, and you're face to face, eyeball to eyeball, with the Son of God. And the Bible says in Revelation chapter one, he has eyes as a flame of fire. He can look through you. He's going to look at you with those piercing eyes, and he's going to ask you a question. It's going to be a simple question, and obviously he's already going to know the answer, but he's going to look at you and he's going to ask you, why did you not let me save you? Why did you reject me? Why didn't you receive me as your Savior? And I can just hear the excuses. Well, Lord, I tell you why I'm not saved. Why, Lord is that church crowd? They had Baptists and they had Methodists and they had Presbyterians and Episcopalians and Church of God and and and Pentecostals and and Catholics and all. Why, Lord, I couldn't make up my mind what church to join. He's going to say. I didn't say Believe on the church. I said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Well, Lord, I tell you why I'm not saved. It's that First Baptist Church of Byron, Mississippi ward. There's hypocrites in that church. Tell him something else he doesn't know. Amen, can I let you in on a secret? Folks, there's hypocrites in every church in the world. I I'm like the black preacher. I'd much rather go to church and be with a hypocrite some of the time, I had go to hell and be with them all the time. Amen. When you see a hypocrite in church, it only proves one thing, a real Christian is worth something, because people don't try to counterfeit chewing gum wrappers. They counterfeit $100 bills because it's worth something. Still, in our day, he's going, he's going to say, I didn't, I didn't say, Believe on the hypocrites. I said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Well, Lord, I tell you why I'm not saved? It's that. It's that Brother, brother Brian, our pastor. He invited one of them, the evangelist, to come preach our revival, and he got up there on Sunday morning. He preached against sin. He preached on judgment and Lord, I like to be made to feel good when I go to church. Lord, I don't like, I don't like that kind of preaching. Oh, Billy Sunday. Y'all ever heard of Billy Sunday won over a million men the faith in Jesus. He was doing a crusade many years ago. Had been in heaven a long time now, but anyway, he was getting on it pretty good, to such an extent, some of the men called him off the side after one of the crusade services, said, Hey, Billy, you need these up just a little bit. You rubbing the fur on the old cat the wrong way? He said, Let me tell you something. That old cat's headed toward hell. She'd turn around. I'd be rubbing it the right way. Folks, I gave up a long, long, long, long time ago, trying to please people that'll put you in the insane asylum quicker than anything I know. And preachers, if he'll learn to stick with this book and preach what God lays on their heart, whether it pleases people or displeases people, they can stand before God one day, because we're going to give an account of what we preach and how we preach, and I'd rather please God and I had you now. I hope you like me this week. I hope you like me this week, but if you don't like me, I want you to love Jesus this week, because I want us to come to Jesus this week. I want every lost person to be saved. I want every saved person to come to revival and fall in love afresh and anew with the Lord Jesus Christ. That's my desire. He's going to say, I didn't say Believe on the preacher. I said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. And one by one, by one, by one by one, you're going to. Give all your excuses, but you will not be able to give the Lord Jesus in that day one good reason why you didn't give your heart to Him for salvation. There are no good reasons for rejecting Jesus Christ, only excuses. That's all recording angel is going to be standing over here, and he's going to turn to the Lord Jesus, and he's going to say, Jesus, Lord, Master, what shall I write by that man's name? Master, what shall I write by that woman's name? Master, what shall I write by that young man's name? Master, what shall I write by that young woman's name? Master, what should I write about that teenager's name? And I believe with all my heart, with broken heart and with tears, the Lord Jesus is going to say, Write, l, o, s, t, lost, lost beyond help, lost beyond hope, and lost throughout eternity, and at that very moment, Revelation, chapter 20, verse 15, will be carried out. For it says, For whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. At that moment the foul spirits of hell will reach up and drag your spirit, your soul, down to hell forever and ever and ever and ever. I don't want that to happen. But more than that, that our great loving God doesn't want that to happen, but if you reject His dear Son, the Lord Jesus, it will happen to you. Your church membership is not going to get you to heaven. Your good works is not going to get you to heaven. Only faith and trust that's born out of a repentant heart is going to get you to heaven. Has there ever been a time in your life where under deep conviction, you saw yourself as a hell bound sinner, and you confessed those sins, repented of those sins, turned to those sins, and asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart if there never has been that time you're Lost and a faint, frail heartbeat away from hell. I want to close with a simple little story. Take about a minute and a half to tell. It illustrates what I'm trying to say today. And then I'm going to get you to repeat a verse with me aloud that you'll know. Little Johnny went to Sunday school one Sunday morning, this particular Sunday, the lesson was on the omnipotence, the all powerfulness of God. And she studied real hard all week. She wanted to convey to her students in her class how powerful God was. He was all powerful, she poured her heart out for about 30 minutes. And so at the end, she wanted to find out if her students got the message. And so she posed this simple question. She said, class, is there anything? Is there anything that God cannot do? Immediately, little Johnny's hand flew up, starled The teacher, omnipotent god, something he can't do. Rather perplexed. You turned to Johnny said, Well, son, what is it that God can't do? I love little Johnny's answer. He said, Teacher, God cannot see my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, whoo, glory to God that ought to make a Baptist shot. Amen. Aren't you thankful? I want you to say this verse with me, and then we going to have prayer. Let me ask nobody to leave the sanctuary unless it's an emergency. I want you to say this verse. You know it John 316 say it aloud. Let's say it for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Would you bow your heads and close your eyes? We come the most important part of this or any service, our time of invitation, let me ask. There be no whispering, there be no talking, there be nothing to distract and with heads bowed and eyes closed, I want to ask you to do something. You notice I said ask because I cannot demand. I want to ask you to do something. I want to ask you to be honest. I want to ask you to be honest. Let me tell you how honest I want to ask you to be. I want to ask you to be as honest as you going to have to be one day when you stand before God, and that's real honest and with heads bowed. And eyes closed while nobody's looking I'm not brother. Philip is not. Nobody's looking on except God. So it's just a time to be totally 100% honest with omniscient Holy God. How many of you could say to all knowing, God, Lord, I know that I know that I know that I know that I know that I know if I were to drop dead right now, Lord, I know I'd go to heaven. I know I've been saved. I know my life has been changed. I know I'm different than I used to be. I know my name is written in the Lamb's book of life in heaven. If you could say that with 100% certainty while only God looks on, would you just slip your hand up, put it back down, please, as a testimony to the goodness and the love of our great God. Thank you very much. I sure some hands were raised. I don't know how many, because I wasn't looking, but I'm positive there's probably a good number of hands that could not raise your hand that you're sure for heaven. And I'd like to ask you to do a second thing this morning. Again, I ask. I'd like to ask you not only to be honest with the Lord, I'd like to ask you to be honest with me. Now, please listen to me. I give you my word of honor. That's all I have. That's all I have. I give you my word of honor. I won't embarrass you. I won't point you out. I won't walk back there where you are. I wouldn't do ever do such a crazy thing. But if you're not honest with me, I can't help you get to Jesus. And so I'd like to ask you to not only be honest with the Lord, I'd like to ask you to be honest with me. How many of you who could not raise your hand a moment ago that you're sure for heaven would say, preacher, I need to settle it today, once and for all and forevermore, where I'm going to spend eternity. And I'd like just to ask you to pray for me that I might be saved today, before it's too late. If you would at like if you would allow me to simply pray for you, would you just slip your hand up across the building? Please. God bless you. God bless you. Raise them up high, so I'm see it. God bless you. God bless you others, God bless you. Don't be ashamed. There's no shame in admitting your loss, folks. It's shame staying that way. That's why a lot of church members going to bust hell wide open, because they won't admit it. That's senseless. That's stupid. We've had several hands. Anyone else quickly raise them up high. God bless you. Thank you. We've had a number of hands. Anyone else? Preacher, pray for me. Alright. Heads about and eyes are closed. Listen carefully to those of you who just raised your hand that you need to settle the destiny of your soul. You need to be saved. And others of you who should have raised your hand, but you did not, because of your pride, listen carefully. I want to help you get to Jesus this morning, and I want to lead you in a simple, simple, simple prayer you can pray, and I promise you, on the authority of the Word of the living God, if you'll pray this simple prayer, and mean it with all your heart, not your head, but your heart, because it's with the heart that man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is given unto salvation. It's gotta be from your heart. And so to those of you who raised your hand that you need to sell the destiny of your soul, and others who should have but didn't listen carefully, I want to lead you in this simple, simple prayer that you can pray. And as I pray this prayer, I will pray aloud. I'll pause as we go through this prayer. Give you ample time to repeat the words of this prayer. And if this prayer represents the desire of your heart, not your head, but the desire of your heart, I promise you that God will save you. You can pray the prayer and say the right words and not mean it and still die and go to hell. You gotta mean it with your heart. Preacher, I'm willing to do that. I need to do that. Alright, let's do it. Just pray with me right now. You can pray silently or loud, whichever you want. Long as you talk to the Lord, let's settle it right now. Just Say, Dear God Lord, you know my heart. You know everything about me. Nothing is hid from you. And. And most of all, Lord, you know that I'm a sinner, and you know I've done many things wrong, and Lord the best way I know how I come right now to ask you to forgive me of all my sins. And Lord, the best way I know how I turn from my sins in repentance. Lord, I don't want to stay like I am any longer. Lord, forgive me of every sin, Cleanse my heart. And now Lord Jesus by faith, trusting in you and only in you to save me and me, Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart. I receive you as Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, save me right now and change me and help me never, ever to be the same again. And Lord Jesus, help me not be ashamed of you, because you are not ashamed of me. Thank you Jesus for loving me, for dying for me and for saving me. You.
